LJ Chapman: Abstract Artist.
LJ Chapman is a painter using mainly acrylic paints, sometimes oils or
mixed media are her choice. She was born in London England, has
lived in New Mexico since 1988 and in beautiful Placitas since 2003.
LJ's art is influenced by extensive travels, but inspired by Southwestern
hues and the strata of mountain, mesa and desert landscapes. Working
mainly in acrylics, along with some oil, her work is infused with colors
and textures in presenting abstract viewpoints.
Painting is a life-long passion for LJ. She is primarily self-taught, but
has supplemented her training with college classes in London. Leaving
the stress of a daily work environment behind six years ago, she has
devoted herself to her own work, immersing herself in color and texture.
She enjoys working from her home studio.
