Erin Windauer
Erin grew up in the mountains of western Montana, developing an early
appreciation for natural color, texture, and form, which guided her lifelong
passion to create.
From the rainbow of rocks in the Montana lakes to the alpenglow on the
surrounding peaks, Erin has always been drawn to the myriad colors and
brilliant light of the Western landscape. After a lengthy stretch on the East
Coast in early adulthood, she returned once again to the land of wide-
open spaces, settling in Placitas, where she marvels every evening at the
New Mexico sunsets and fading light on the Sandia Crest — always
beautiful, yet never the same.
Using graphite and paint, Erin aims to capture this sense of light and
space, and the lives of those drawn to its call.
