Growing up as a child in Belgium, I was surrounded by art by my father who
was an artist in many forms and by my brother who grew up to become a
professional artist.
Traveling all over the world Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, I was exposed to
amazing art and architecture as well as different cultures and a wide range of
cultural arts.
I found it amazing starting with the lump of clay or Porcelain on the wheel
and seeing it become something functional and beautiful.
I studied a Japanese porcelain technique called Arita with Kathryn Cyman at
the University of New Mexico.
I enjoy working with both traditional Clay and Porcelain in creating functional
work of art, after combining both natural and worked piece of wood into my
pieces.
Some of my work can be seen at Yucca Gallery, old town, Albuquerque.
