About the Artist
Bob Martin has been drawing and painting since grade school. In 1967 he
took a break to join the Air Force and resumed his artistic activities when
he was assigned to Southeast Asia and later, to the Middle East and has
also visited painting locations in Europe and around the US.
Upon retiring from the military he began teaching at CNM and resumed
painting in earnest, concentrating on watercolor and acrylics as his
mediums of choice. He’s displayed at the New Mexico State Fair, the New
Mexico Art League and the City of Albuquerque and also has paintings in
private collections both locally and nationwide.
He’s self taught and has experimented with other mediums and
photography but loves what watercolor and acrylic can do for and to him
and his subjects. He’s currently breaking-in a new studio at his home.
